Job summary

A leading financial institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Credit Evaluator to perform independent credit evaluations of commercial and SME accounts. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in credit processing and analysis, possess strong analytical skills, and be capable of working independently. Responsibilities include supporting business units, monitoring loan portfolios, and ensuring compliance with credit policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in credit processing, analysis and evaluation exposure in marketing of SME/commercial loans.
  • Capable of working independently with minimum supervision and strong credit analytical skills.
  • Good written and communication skills.

Job description
Overview

To perform independent credit evaluation/assessment in respect of the credit application of commercial/SME accounts, mitigation and recommendations to enable decision-makers to formulate well-informed decisions, with the objective to satisfy borrowers’ needs and protect the Bank’s asset quality.

To provide support and work closely with Business Units in respect of enhancing credit structure and proposed terms and conditions.

To attend to various requests from business units within the agreed turnaround time.

To monitor closely the existing loan portfolio to ensure that any early warning signals are being highlighted promptly for informed decision making and appropriate action.

To provide necessary support in matters related to credit management infrastructure of the Bank.

Ensure compliance of the Bank’s credit policies and applicable rules and regulations while maintaining a balanced approach to promote profitable business growth and asset quality.

Other duties to be assigned by Head of Department and/or Group Chief Credit Officer from time to time.

Key Requirement
  • Minimum 5 years in credit processing, analysis and evaluation exposure in marketing of SME/commercial loans.
  • Capable of working independently with minimum supervision, possess strong credit analytical skills and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Experienced business relationship manager who is interested in Credit Evaluation is encouraged to apply.
