Supports mechanical engineers and executes mechanical activities on-site as directed, including:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and equipment, following safety regulations.
- Carrying out routine maintenance on systems, machinery, and equipment, including fault finding, problem solving, and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
- Contacting external contractors as required and assisting them on-site.
- Creating and updating log files for plant utilities, equipment readings, and consumptions.
- Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks, taking corrective actions, and reporting issues to engineers.
- Performing minor mechanical repairs related to systems and utilities, minimizing operational risk or inconvenience.
- Reporting major breakdowns, significant problems, repair needs, delays, or downtime to relevant engineers promptly.
- Liaising with suppliers and engineers to clarify technical details and resolve issues.
- Performing other reasonable duties or project work as assigned by management.
Requirements
General Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Ability to operate and maintain equipment, troubleshoot, and understand basic engineering principles.
- Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead shift team members and guide them when necessary.
Qualification & Experience:
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a facility department, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Support emergency repairs and monitor facilities system performance and parameters.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, gases, CDA systems, AHU, MAU, etc.
- Complete all work documentation promptly and perform periodic maintenance as scheduled.
- Full-time position, with willingness to work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
