Senior Shift Technician

Job description

Supports mechanical engineers and executes mechanical activities on-site as directed, including:

1. Performing routine maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility.
2. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and equipment, following safety regulations.
3. Carrying out routine maintenance on systems, machinery, and equipment, including fault finding, problem solving, and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
4. Contacting external contractors as required and assisting them on-site.
5. Creating and updating log files for plant utilities, equipment readings, and consumptions.
6. Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks, taking corrective actions, and reporting issues to engineers.
7. Performing minor mechanical repairs related to systems and utilities, minimizing operational risk or inconvenience.
8. Reporting major breakdowns, significant problems, repair needs, delays, or downtime to relevant engineers promptly.
9. Liaising with suppliers and engineers to clarify technical details and resolve issues.
10. Performing other reasonable duties or project work as assigned by management.

Requirements

General Requirements:

• Technical Skills: Ability to operate and maintain equipment, troubleshoot, and understand basic engineering principles.
• Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead shift team members and guide them when necessary.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a facility department, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Support emergency repairs and monitor facilities system performance and parameters.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, gases, CDA systems, AHU, MAU, etc.
• Complete all work documentation promptly and perform periodic maintenance as scheduled.
• Full-time position, with willingness to work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
