Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor Corp. in Penang invites a Senior Solutions Firmware Engineer to design and implement firmware for next‑generation server platforms, collaborating across hardware, BIOS/BMC, platform, and software teams.

You will debugging, develop drivers, and optimize low‑level software, with 5+ years of firmware experience, strong C skills, and a passion for robust, scalable server solutions. This role is on site in Penang and offers a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of firmware, embedded software or system software development experience.
• Experience in firmware and device driver development.
• Strong C programming skills and understanding of system-level architecture and hardware-software interactions.
• Experience with embedded software development and operating system concepts.
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware drivers and low-level software for server platforms.
• Develop and integrate firmware features to support platform and customer requirements.
• Debug and resolve firmware, hardware, and system-level issues across the software stack.
• Collaborate with hardware, BIOS/BMC, platform, and software teams during product development and validation.
• Support system bring-up, integration, validation, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze system behavior, identify root causes, and implement robust solutions.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of firmware development practices.
