Job summary

Senior Solutions Firmware Engineer at Lattice Malaysia will design, develop, and maintain firmware and low-level software for next-generation server platforms. You will work across hardware, BIOS/BMC, platform, and software teams to deliver robust, scalable firmware solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in firmware or embedded software, strong C skills, and experience with firmware drivers, RTOS/bare-metal environments, and Linux-based systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in firmware, embedded software, or system software development.
• Experience in firmware and device driver development.
• Strong C programming skills.
• Solid understanding of system-level architecture and hardware-software interactions.
• Experience with embedded software development and operating system concepts.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware drivers and low-level software components for server platforms.
• Develop and integrate firmware features to support platform and customer requirements.
• Debug and resolve firmware, hardware, and system-level issues across the software stack.
• Collaborate with hardware, BIOS/BMC, platform, and software teams during product development and validation.
• Support system bring-up, integration, validation, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze system behavior, identify root causes, and implement robust solutions.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement of firmware development practices.
