Join our innovative engineering team and make a real-world impact! As a Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the development of our Public Safety SDK, empowering first responders and others with cutting‑edge mobile evidence solutions. Working primarily with .NET, you'll design, develop, and maintain the Mobile Evidence SDK for both internal and external consumers, with a strong emphasis on creating a seamless and positive developer experience. You will also have the opportunity to work with other SDK technologies like Kotlin Multiplatform and Swift. Be a key player in building technology that matters.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining robust .NET‑based SDK libraries
- Working across platforms, including Android and iOS, to ensure library compatibility and integration
- Collaborating on library architecture, API design, and documentation
- Maintaining library quality through specialized testing and documentation practices
- Ensuring code is extensible and maintainable by following leading architectural principles and patterns
- Automating core development workflows and contributing to tooling and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Actively monitoring services, responding to incidents, and contributing to post‑incident reviews
- Contributing to a continuous learning culture by participating in training and workshops, bringing ideas to the table and creating learning opportunities
- Helping drive continuous improvement by actively identifying improvements, participating in retrospectives and contributing to key metrics
- Focusing on customers by asking the right questions, solving the right problem, and designing great experiences
- Sharing domain knowledge across teams to drive adoption
- Mentoring and guiding team members as they progress into a more senior role
- Helping drive engineering best practices and initiatives
General Education
Tertiary level computer science or software engineering. Certificates in software or cloud technologies. Certificates in Agile.
Knowledge and Skills
- 2+ years of continuous commercial experience in an enterprise environment
- Solid experience in Software Development, Design and Architecture, ideally within an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge and application of software design patterns
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON and RESTful design
- Demonstrable significant experience in C#, SQL Server and Azure Cloud
Bonus Points
- Kotlin language and ecosystem
- Understanding of WebSocket and WebRTC
- Understanding of statically typed programming
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with containerisation (e.g. Docker)
- Experience and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitLab)
- API Blueprint for API design and documentation
Experience
- 5+ years engineering experience
- 2+ years delivering with Agile methodology
