Senior SAP BASIS (Security & Authorization) & AWS

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and harmonize existing roles and authorization concepts as part of the implementation project team.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor cloud resources for performance and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AWS cloud-related issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain configurations of AWS cloud services.
• Administer existing and deploy new AWS EC2 instances and related infrastructure.
• Experience migrating server landscapes from on-premise to AWS or from other cloud providers to AWS.
• Manage SAP landscapes and environments in AWS.
• Develop scripts for deployment, monitoring, reporting, and alerting to ensure a robust, scalable, and high-availability infrastructure.
• Analyze security threats and their applicability to customer environments.
• Triaging and resolving technical and user issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.
• Assist in user access provisioning activities and troubleshoot authorization issues.
• Document existing authorization concepts and support role testing during implementation phases.
• Configure and maintain SAP security.
• Document SAP instances and interfaces.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience related to SAP BASIS and AWS.
• Certification in SAP BASIS and AWS.
• Strong customer-facing and pre-sales skills, including creating engaging presentations.
• Experience creating, modifying, and maintaining SAP authorization roles following security standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot user provisioning and permission errors.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Experience with SAP performance tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of installation and configuration of SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO, and NetWeaver systems.
• Knowledge of databases such as AWS, SAP HANA, SAP ASE, MaxDB, MS SQL, Oracle, and DB2.
• Knowledge of operating systems like Windows Server, SUSE Linux, Red Hat Linux.
• Experience using SAP tools such as SWPM and SUM.
• Good understanding of basic IT technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, VPN, Firewall).
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with SAP security and authorization concepts.
