Job summary

Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad is seeking a Senior SAP Technical Developer to join our technology team in Kuala Lumpur. You will develop and maintain ABAP programs, support BW implementations, and collaborate with analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications.

The role requires hands-on ABAP development, BW knowledge, and strong communications. The ideal candidate has 3+ years SAP ABAP experience, a bachelor’s in IT, and familiarity with SAP tools like SE80/SE38.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems or related field.
At least 3 years SAP experience in ABAP Development.
Conversant with ABAP data dictionary.
Sound programming principles and can write tight code.
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and soft skills.
Able to communicate well in English and meet deadlines.
Willing to work extended hours when required.
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.

Responsibilities

SAP ABAP Programming / BW implementation & support.
Develop and maintain customised ABAP programs including reports, interfaces and layout sets.
Keep up with ABAP/BW/Web Services and related technologies (API, DMEE, connectivity).
Work with SAP development tools (SE80/SE38/SE37/SE93/SE24).
Collaborate with analysts to convert functional specs to technical specs.
Harmonise OSS notes and SAP enhancement techniques; support external BASIS vendor.
Ensure development standards and documentation; perform data migration for BW.
Support new SAP projects, write technical specs, conduct testing, and provide technical training.
