Job Summary
We are expanding our adventure tourism and online travel business and seeking a driven and experienced Senior Sales & Marketing Executive. This person will lead growth strategies, develop new B2B and B2C channels, and manage high-level relationships with tourism stakeholders, travel platforms, and client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase bookings and revenue across B2C and B2B segments, including individual travelers, groups, corporate clients, and educational institutions.
Establish, manage, and expand partnerships with OTA platforms, travel agencies, resellers, and corporate clients both locally and internationally.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with eco-resorts, boutique hotels, schools, universities, NGOs, and other potential tourism collaborators.
Lead the design and optimization of sales funnels, incentive schemes, and onboarding processes for agents and affiliate partners.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, bundle packages, and promotions tailored to seasonal trends and market demands.
Maintain, grow, and actively manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to track trends, pricing, new products, and positioning of similar brands and platforms.
Represent the company professionally at tourism expos, government forums, FAM trips, trade shows, and media launches.
Serve as a mentor and team lead, providing guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to junior sales & marketing team members.
Oversee sales performance reporting, pipeline forecasting, and monthly KPI tracking for internal strategy meetings.
Collaborate closely with the product, operations, and customer support teams to ensure smooth pre- and post-sales experiences.
Support the development of corporate presentations, sales kits, and business proposals for prospective clients and partners.
Maintain strong relationships with tourism boards, travel associations, and public-sector agencies to identify strategic growth or joint promotional opportunities.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and key account management for high-value or strategic partners.
Continuously seek out and propose innovative ideas to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and overall brand visibility in the adventure tourism space.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the tourism, travel, or hospitality industry.
Possess a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism Management, Hospitality, or any related field.
Strong track record in managing B2B and B2C sales channels, including direct customers, travel agencies, and corporate partners.
Prior experience working with OTA platforms, inbound tour operators, or online travel marketplaces is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-value partnerships, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
A well-established network within the Malaysian tourism ecosystem, including contacts from tourism boards, travel agents, and relevant associations, is an added advantage.
Proficient in using digital tools such as CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and familiar with OTA backend systems or dashboards.
Strong knowledge and passion for adventure tourism, eco-travel, and nature-based destinations, especially within Malaysia.
Creative and strategic mindset with the ability to propose promotional campaigns, partnership ideas, and help improve tourism products.
High level of initiative, adaptability, and customer-focused thinking with a proactive approach to solving problems.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken); proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Tamil is a significant advantage for regional market coverage.
Outgoing and pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal and networking skills — enjoys engaging with people and building connections.
Willing and able to travel frequently, including during weekends or public holidays for events, FAM trips, or client meetings.
A proactive leader who can work independently, manage a sales team, and contribute directly to company growth.
