Job description

In this high-impact and outward-facing role, you will drive the business development and sales strategy for HVDC and FACTS Systems across the dynamic ASEAN region. As the regional business driver, you will proactively engage with key customers, industry partners, and internal teams to position our sophisticated transmission technologies at the heart of Southeast Asia’s grid transformation.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, tendering, and execution, while aligning with broader corporate objectives and market trends. In this role, you will report directly to the Global Head of Technical Sales, based at headquarters, ensuring a strong connection between local market needs and global strategy.

You will be instrumental in identifying and winning transformative projects, encouraging strategic partnerships, and translating technical capabilities into tailored, high-value customer solutions. Your ambitious mentality, commercial skill, and deep market insight will directly contribute to strengthening our market leadership in grid technologies.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Drive Regional Market Development: Define and implement a targeted go-to-market approach for HVDC and FACTS in the ASEAN region, aligned with global strategy and regional dynamics.
  2. Identify and Capture Opportunities: Actively pursue business opportunities with utilities, developers, EPCs, grid operators, and policymakers to grow a robust project pipeline and position us as a strategic partner in critical grid investments.
  3. Build and Strengthen Customer Relationships: Develop positive relationships with senior decision-makers and technical influencers, establishing long-term engagement that supports repeat business and strategic alignment.
  4. Translate Market Insights into Action: Continuously analyze energy policies, grid expansion plans, and investment trends to actively seek out opportunities and develop customer conversations around solutions.
  5. Drive the Development of Competitive Proposals: Collaborate closely with global technical and commercial teams to steer proposal activities, ensuring customer requirements are understood and our offers are compelling and competitive.
  6. Represent Our Brand in the Market: Participate in key industry events, customer forums, and regional conferences to elevate our market presence and promote our leadership in sophisticated grid solutions.

What You Bring

  1. Education in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, and/or Management.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
  3. Knowledge of the Transmission and Distribution market.
  4. Technical knowledge and business operation experience related to Grid Solutions technologies such as HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, Substations.
  5. Excellent stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  6. Leadership experience in leading international teams and managing multiple interfaces.
  7. Strong personal skills supporting network building, people development, and fostering a collaborative culture, combined with proactiveness, innovation, and partnership mentality.
  8. Eagerness to meet and exceed commitments and objectives, taking ownership of complex challenges.
  9. Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional local languages is a plus.
