Role Overview:
The Senior Sales Executive plays a key role in driving the business growth of aftermarket and service-based offerings, focusing on industrial automation clients. This role is critical in developing long-term customer relationships, identifying new service opportunities, and providing tailored solutions to increase client uptime and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell a full suite of industrial automation service solutions including maintenance contracts, spare parts, upgrades, retrofitting, and field service packages to existing and prospective clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations, including plant managers, maintenance teams, and procurement departments
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities for service solutions throughout the product lifecycle, supporting long-term customer satisfaction and recurring revenue
- Develop strategic account plans and conduct regular site visits to understand customer needs, equipment performance, and potential areas for service enhancement
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to customer requirements, working closely with internal engineering, service, and finance teams
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure mutual business value while adhering to company policies
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market insights to support strategic planning and sales target achievement
- Participate in trade shows, customer seminars, and industry networking events to enhance market visibility and generate new service leads
- Monitor competitors’ service offerings and pricing strategies to maintain market competitiveness and propose improvement initiatives internally
- Ensure seamless coordination with service delivery teams to track project timelines, customer feedback, and post-service support for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics) or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in industrial automation or engineering service environment
- Proven track record in selling aftermarket or technical service solutions to manufacturing or process industries
- Strong understanding of automation technologies including PLC, SCADA, robotics, or motion control is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
- Proficient in using CRM tools, MS Office, and technical proposal preparation
- Willingness to travel regionally and conduct frequent client site visits
