Job Description

The Senior Sales Executive will focus on developing new accounts in Malaysia, Singapore, and other assigned territories, with a priority on Appliances, HVAC, Lighting (AHL), and Water sectors. The role involves selling UL’s products, systems, and services, emphasizing prospecting and direct sales to penetrate untapped markets in the AHL sector, with a strong focus on new business development.

70% Hunter role, 30% Farmer role

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for planning and executing sales strategies, acquiring new accounts aggressively, and maintaining client relationships to drive growth and meet revenue targets.
  2. Promote and sell UL services with a consultative, "hunter" approach, leading presentations, handling objections, preparing quotes, and closing deals, focusing on high-potential clients while retaining existing ones.
  3. Build and manage prospect pipelines, overseeing the new business process from prospecting to close.
  4. Actively pursue new prospects through market research, tradeshows, direct mail, cold-calling, and referrals, understanding decision-makers and purchasing needs.
  5. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the industrial sector, focusing on companies requiring core business and global market access penetration.
  6. Collaborate with the technical team to align testing capabilities with client requirements.
  7. Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
  8. Participate in local industry events, such as ITAP and SWITCH, for networking.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of relevant sales experience.
  2. Extensive expertise in specialty products/services within the assigned TIC portfolio and deep knowledge of the Malaysia & Singapore market.
  3. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, preferably within the testing and certification industry.
  4. Experience in enhancing company branding, including organizing large-scale seminars.
  5. Self-motivated, fast learner, and result-driven personality.
