Senior Sales and Tendering Engineer

Location: Selangor, Malaysia

Job Purpose
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients/agents and develop new business pipelines within the APAC region.
  • Develop and execute strategic country business plans aligned with budgets and medium-term objectives to generate profitable business in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Manage all sales activities of Lucy Electric in the country, building relationships with clients including utilities, key local partners, and stakeholders.

Job Dimensions
  • Reports to: Sales Director
  • Direct Reports: Internal Sales Support (admin)
  • Collaborates with: Marketing (APAC), Engineering, Finance, Sales LEA, Sales LET
Key Accountabilities
  • Execute profitable strategies per country for sales activities.
  • Manage long-term customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through the sales process.
  • Identify, qualify, and close large and complex new sales opportunities, focusing on business growth.
  • Conduct market surveys and visit customers regularly.
  • Assist in establishing the yearly budget.
  • Monitor competitors and conduct price comparisons of core products.
  • Create competitive and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Coordinate and validate pricelists for the area.
  • Liaise with Marketing regarding communication and sales promotions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Secondary Activities
  • Undertake additional duties as required to develop and manage the sales team.
  • Travel domestically and abroad as needed.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in power distribution.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Malay.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude.
