Job summary

A leading construction firm is looking for a Safety and Health Officer in Penang. The candidate will oversee safety and health management on construction sites, ensuring compliance with local SHE legislation. Responsibilities include advising management, investigating incidents, and monitoring the performance of safety systems. A minimum of 10 years' experience in rail-related construction is required, alongside a diploma or degree in a relevant field. Qualifications

• Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer (Valid Green Book Holder) with DOSH.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Head of SHE on the performance of safety management systems.
• Cooperate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure safety standards.
• Carry out incident investigations for any workplace incidents.
• Maintain records of safety performance and report to authorities.
• Monitor KPIs related to SHE performance and identify improvement opportunities.
