Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Officer to join a multidisciplinary team in a cutting-edge pharma-academia partnership focused on discovering and developing therapeutic biologics and small molecules for ocular diseases. This translational role emphasizes bioanalytical chemistry and advanced mass spectrometry-based proteomics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute system-wide and targeted MS workflows including operation of high-end MS instruments
  • Support assay development and bioanalysis of therapeutic biologics and small molecules
  • Work closely with the pharma collaborator to meet project milestones
  • Analyze, interpret, and document data using industry-standard SOPs
  • Contribute to lab operations and training junior staff when needed

Note: The successful candidate is expected to perform most of the above tasks with minimal to no training, as immediate execution is required.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field.
  • Proven research interest with hands-on lab experience in biomedical research setting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in advanced proteomic research including LC/MS & MALDI-TOF operation, maintaining and troubleshooting
  • Familiar with drug discovery practices with experience in a biotech R&D or translational research environment is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about science, and committed to lab work.
  • Able to multitask, work independently, and thrive in team settings.
