Job summary

Ambu in Malaysia is seeking a Senior R&D Lab Test & Administrator to manage test instruments, ensure calibration, and maintain preventive maintenance for lab compliance.

The role leads lab verification, supports engineering tests, and drives 5S activities and continuous improvement. You will mentor interns and assist in purchasing, logistics and other R&D admin tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering is preferred.
• Experience in a lab environment is advantageous.
• Good communication in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

Job description

Ambu Global Hub is looking for a Senior R&D Lab Test & Administrator. This position manages all test and measuring instruments to ensure that they are well maintained with proper calibration and preventive maintenance conducted. The Senior Lab & Test Administrator also responsible to conduct daily lab 5S activities and propose continuous improvement to the lab management.

Key Responsibilities

• Take charge in the laboratory tests, engineering test study, documentation and support in the tools and jigs ideation.
• Meet Product Engineering goals through strategies to solve problems, improve conditions and support activities setup, process flow and implementation.
• Execute laboratory test assigned ensure the data accuracy and integrity to maintain the safe and efficacy use of product.
• Lead or assists in day-to-day activities of lab verification and engineering and laboratory operational improvement activities.
• Maintain the calibration and prevention maintenance of equipment, jig and tools in the R&D Laboratory. Ensure that all the replenished items are constantly replaced.

Supporting Tasks

• Support team in the product test method validation in Life Cycle Management activities.
• Guide and mentor R&D Lab Intern.
• Support in the purchasing, logistic and other administrative task for R&D department.

Suggested Candidate Profiles

• Diploma in any engineering field is preferred.
• Candidate with some experience working in lab environment will be given priority.
