Job summary

Gamuda Group in Selangor seeks a Senior Engineer - R&D - Corporate Development to apply deep technical expertise to identify and support strategic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and new ventures.

You will collaborate with Corporate Development, R&D leadership, and business units to assess technical viability, IP maturity, and potential synergies, driving informed investment decisions and accelerating long-term expansion.

Qualifications

Bachelors in Engineering or related scientific field from an accredited institution.
Master's or PhD in engineering or science preferred.
Proven experience in R&D, product development, or advanced engineering roles.
Strong understanding of core technologies, products, and industry landscape.

Responsibilities

Lead in-depth technical due diligence on M&A targets, partners, or new ventures, assessing R&D capabilities, IP, and product maturity.
Evaluate feasibility, scalability, and integration challenges of external technologies; identify risks and synergies.
Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to R&D roadmap and partnerships.
Assess commercial potential and technical readiness of internal projects for spin-offs or incubations.
