Job summary

BWC Construction in Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying and at least 2 years’ experience in road construction. You will focus on tendering, cost estimation and project administration to support successful project delivery.

As part of the team, you will collaborate with consultants, contractors and suppliers to manage costs, prepare final accounts and progress claims, ensuring timely payments and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 2 year experience and above as Quantity Surveyor in road construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Calculate cost of projects tendering, preparation of tender submission & BoQ, cost estimation, procurement support and follow up of project.
• Take off quantity.
• Prepare project final accounts & analysis, variation order works, interim progress claim.
• Project organizing, costing control by monitoring the site work & progress.
• Prepare letter of award to sub-contractors and verify their claims of the project.
• Processing progress claim and variations to ensure on time submission.
• To undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by Contract/Project Manager.
• Track payment status to ensure the payment is made by Finance Dept within the contractual payment period.
• Liaise and communicating with all project stakeholders to ensure all contract administration matters are attended promptly and kept up to date.
