SPACE UP DESIGN SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor in Alor Setar, Kedah, to manage contracts, costs and project delivery with precision.

You will handle cost management, contract administration, site measurements and final accounts while coordinating with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure successful project outcomes in line with Malaysian industry practices.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with recognised credentials from a relevant professional body
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Knowledge of PAM, CIDB or equivalent contracts
• Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting and financial management for construction projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software packages
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction industry practices and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsabilités

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation for construction projects
• Managing project budgets and monitoring expenditure to ensure costs remain within approved parameters
• Administering contracts and managing contractual relationships between the company, clients, contractors and subcontractors
• Conducting site inspections and measurements to verify work completed and assess variations to contracts
• Preparing and processing claims, variations and change orders in accordance with contract terms
• Liaising with project managers, architects and engineers to ensure commercial and contractual alignment
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all project costs, variations and contract amendments
• Providing commercial advice and cost consultancy to support project decision-making
• Preparing final accounts and resolving disputes relating to contract payments and claims
• Ensuring compliance with relevant construction industry standards and procurement regulations
