CONSTRUCTION DIVISION
- Monitor and administer various contracts and sub-contract works, including preparing progress reports, recommending payments, issuing variation order certificates and finalizing accounts documentation.
- Conduct verification of material requisitions, take-off quantities and site measurements of completed work.
- Prepare progress claims and invoices for clients and consultants to ensure effective project cost control and timely payments.
- Prepare, call and evaluate tenders as well as value variation orders to maintain cost efficiency.
- Negotiate material costs with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Manage the processing of claims from consultants and subcontractors related to project matters, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor contractual compliance and manage project risk exposure, ensuring all activities adhere to legal and contract standards.
- Assist in the drafting, review and interpretation of contract clauses to avoid ambiguities and minimize disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondences, claims, cost flows and variations for effective reporting and auditing.
- Support and assess process Extension of Time (EOT) claims in accordance with contractual provisions and project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in quantity surveying or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in construction site.
- Proficient in quantity take-off, preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ), site measurement, cost estimation, tender preparation, progress claim evaluation, variation assessment and final account preparation.
- Cost control and budgeting
- Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., PAM, JKR )
- Willing to be based in Kuching, Sarawak.
