Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare project bill of quantities, costings, quotation/tender documents as directed by the Commercial Manager.
• Track design and renovation changes and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Monitor project work to ensure it stays within agreed costings.
• Understand tender requirements and drawings.
• Execute all assigned tasks and take responsibility for work performance.
• Prepare and submit performance‑management reports to the Commercial Manager.
• Identify improvement opportunities based on performance‑management reports.
• Implement company policy and departmental SOPs for the Quality Management System.
• Implement improvements in the Commercial and QS departments.
• Support internal customers in operations so that products and services meet customer and other stakeholder requirements.
• Maintain proper document and record‑keeping in the Commercial and QS departments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.

Experience

• 5–7 years of proven experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methodologies and cost control techniques.
• Excellent numerical and financial management skills; strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently under stress, supervise and communicate.
• Experience handling pre‑ and post‑tendering work, quotations, contracts, project administration in execution, purchasing and preparing progress claims.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with consultants and contractors.
