Job summary

Ola Chat Pte Ltd. is seeking a proactive QA Engineer to assure quality across mobile apps (iOS/Android), H5/WebView, Flutter, and backend services.

You will design and execute tests, develop automation, and work with cross-functional teams to improve release quality. Strong English and Chinese communication is required to collaborate with China teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related technical field.
• Experience testing mobile apps including iOS/Android, H5/WebView, Flutter, or backend services.
• Hands-on with test case design, regression testing, release validation, and defect tracking.
• Experience with at least one automation type (mobile UI, API, Web/H5, or end-to-end testing).
• Familiar with QA tools like Appium, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Charles, Fiddler, JMeter, Jenkins, GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality across mobile applications (iOS/Android H5/WebView, Flutter) and backend services.
• Design, execute and maintain functional, compatibility, regression, API, and performance tests.
• Build and improve automation test suites, tools, and quality platforms to raise efficiency.
• Analyze logs, API responses, WebView behavior, network traffic, crashes, and performance data to locate issues.
• Report, track and close defects with clear descriptions and impact analysis.
• Collaborate with product, development, QA, DevOps, and performance teams to raise product quality.
• Support risk management, process improvement, and release quality assessments.

Mobile App / H5 / WebView / Backend Services

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality assurance and quality engineering of mobile applications, including iOS/Android H5/WebView hybrid apps, Flutter apps, and related backend services.
• Participate in requirement review, risk analysis, test planning, test case design, regression testing, and release validation.
• Design and execute functional, compatibility, regression, API, and performance-related testing for mobile apps and backend services.
• Build, maintain, or improve automation test cases, test tools, internal frameworks, and quality platforms to improve testing efficiency.
• Analyze logs, API responses, WebView behavior, network traffic, crash reports, and performance data to locate issues and support root cause analysis.
• Report, track, and follow up bugs to closure, ensuring clear defect description, impact analysis, and proper verification.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, QA, DevOps, automation, and performance testing teams to improve product quality and delivery efficiency.
• Support project quality management, risk management, process improvement, and release quality assessment.

Requirements

• Good understanding of iOS, Android, Flutter, WebView, mobile app lifecycle, mobile networking, and common compatibility issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in testing mobile applications, H5/WebView hybrid apps, Flutter apps, or backend service applications.
• Hands‑on experience with test case design, regression testing, release validation, defect tracking, and risk‑based testing.
• Experience with at least one type of automation testing, such as mobile UI automation, API automation, Web/H5 automation, or end‑to‑end testing.
• Familiar with tools or frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, Charles, Fiddler, JMeter, k6, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Experience in performance testing for mobile apps, H5/WebView pages, or backend APIs is preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to analyze logs, API responses, network traffic, WebView behavior, and performance data.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with product, development, QA, DevOps, and global teams.
• Strong ownership, quality mindset, and passion for mobile internet products.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese is required due to close collaboration with Chinese‑speaking teams in China.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large‑scale consumer mobile apps, social apps, live streaming apps, fintech apps, or other high‑traffic products.
• Experience in building test tools, automation frameworks, quality dashboards, test platforms, or internal productivity tools.
• Experience with CI/CD, quality gates, production issue analysis, quality metrics, or process improvement.
• Experience with AI‑assisted testing, automated test case generation, log analysis, or intelligent quality platforms is a plus.
