Job description

To ensure that all purchasing transactions are conducted in a cost-effective, timely, and high-quality manner, supporting the organization’s operational and strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Execute local purchasing plans to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely flow of materials and goods from suppliers to production and warehouse operations.
  2. Comply with and contribute to the development of supply chain policies, procedures, and standards to enhance purchasing performance.
  3. Identify and recommend improvements to procurement and production processes to drive operational efficiency.
  4. Support supplier evaluations, steering initiatives, and audit processes to ensure supplier performance and compliance.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, consistent quality, reliable lead times, and favorable payment terms.
  6. Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external suppliers/subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  7. Collaborate closely with the operations team to guarantee seamless material flow and proactively address supply-related challenges.
  8. Ensure all procurement activities are well-documented and compliant with organizational standards and applicable local regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
  2. In-depth knowledge of supply markets, procurement strategies, and sourcing best practices.
  3. Proven track record in negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction.
  4. Strong purchasing and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  5. Technical background or understanding is considered a strong advantage.
  6. Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings is beneficial.
  7. Familiarity with standard production methods and industry standards.
  8. Strong command of English (both spoken and written) is required. Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage, particularly Mandarin.
  9. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in procurement, including at least 4 years in a similar industry or manufacturing environment.
