A leading company in electronics is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage supplier negotiations and procurement processes. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 10 years of experience in procurement, and excel in communication and analysis to drive cost-effective purchasing strategies.

Liaise with requestor on requirements for materials request (DM, IDM inclusive capital equipment).
Source suppliers (local or overseas) based on requirements provided by requestor.
Request quotations from suppliers for benchmarking purposes.
Negotiate with suppliers on price, terms, quality, and delivery.
Process purchase orders referring to the approved purchase requisition in the e-PR system.
Meet with suppliers to negotiate improved pricing, product quality, and delivery.
Source alternative suppliers for cost reduction opportunities with competitive prices.
Select potential suppliers for materials (DM or IDM) and capital equipment based on supplier selection procedures.
Visit and audit new supplier factories in accordance with company policies, collaborating with the Global Procurement team.
Update and input new supplier profiles in the e-PR system with full compliance.
Support internal audits to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain updated purchasing records and pricing data in the e-PR system.
Perform Purchased Price Variance (PPV) analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities, especially for stock items like Direct Materials.
Lead site cost reduction plans and projects, reporting quarterly.
Conduct quarterly Supplier Review Forums to foster collaboration on Cost, Quality, Availability, and Technology.
Support quarterly Supplier Quality Assessment Scorecards for the Supplier Quality Team.
Lead Supply Line Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and collaborate with internal teams and the Global Procurement team as needed.
Job Requirements
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in any Commercial or Engineering fields (Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering). Candidates with over 10 years of experience and a strong desire to excel in business acumen and global procurement are encouraged to apply. Procurement operation experience is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proven negotiation skills and ability to leverage data (through Should Cost Model) for cost negotiations.
Proven supplier management skills, handling purchases of DM, IDM, and capital equipment.
Analytical skills with effective Excel proficiency (at least intermediate level) and data-driven decision-making.
Benchmarking capabilities and ability to propose options to stakeholders.
Ability to foster collaboration on key projects and drive engagement.
Strong conflict management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Result-oriented, change-focused, capable of managing large projects within timelines and budgets.
Adaptable to change and capable of leading organizational transformations.
