A leading company in Asset Management & Infrastructure Solutions seeks a Project Planner in Kota Kinabalu. The successful candidate will manage project scheduling, prepare reports, and ensure effective communication among stakeholders. A degree in engineering and extensive experience in civil projects are required for this role.

Provide support to the Project team regarding the scheduling and progress tracking of the construction activities.
Establish a progress report framework and format for monthly and weekly reports to the Employer.
Prepare periodic progress reports on a monthly and weekly basis, as well as other management reports, as and when required by the Employer.
Develop project monitoring and evaluation systems which include development of the Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), which will facilitate organizing, collecting and reporting of progress data as well as formulating progress calculation methods and monitoring.
Highlight to the Employer on potential issues that will affect the project progress and recommend mitigation measures to recover for any delays incurred by the Project.
Formulate an early trigger mechanism that would allow potential issues impacting the project progress to be detected at an early stage of the project implementation phase, hence allowing sufficient time for early mitigation.
Develop, review, update and improve (if required) the relevant systems and processes to enable the Programme Management team to provide effective project planning and monitoring functions.
Ensure that the Programme Management’s team members are well versed with their respective roles and responsibilities and are clear with the team’s goals and objectives.
Hold discussions with the Employer, Consultant and the Work Package Contractor (WPC) to finalise the timeline and update the Master Implementation Programme.
Update the construction status on a weekly basis for submission to the Employer.
Review WPC’s work programmes.
Close monitoring of the WPC’s work progress.
Take necessary actions in advising the WPC of delays and deviations in the scheduled progress
Attend coordination meetings with WPCs, etc.
Attend meetings with the Employer and update the project packages timeline as required.
Manage the collection and maintenance of all project progress information that supports the reporting of progress, measures of project performance, and variances against the planned performance/progress.
Prepare and maintain project information, fact sheets and pertinent presentation materials for the Employer.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Civil, Construction Management or equivalent.
15 years working experience in civil and road projects.
