- Plan, monitor and control daily works at the project sites and project teams to the successful completion of project according to the quality standard and on time delivery.
- Take ultimate responsibility for complying and implementing all policies, activities, procedures, instructions, documents control and other requirements as relevant required by the legal and QESH management system.
- Provide and demonstrate the leadership and commitment for the overall implementation of the quality management system.
- Accountable for the effectiveness of the quality management system and cost control in the projects, and achieve the intended target.
- Promote use of process approach and risk-based thinking in the project, investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Responsible for on-time preparation of master program, all works / project operations carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instructions etc. and adhere to document control procedures
- Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor subcontractor’s activities at project sites to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of utilization of resources.
- Responsible to formulate and prepare reports of the result of physical progress, financial progress and scheduling to the top management on weekly / monthly basis.
- Lead and ensure all machinery and temporary structure comply with legal requirements.
- Promote customer focus and improvement in the project including proposing alternative design if necessary.
- Ensure inspections and tests are carried out as per Inspection and Test Plans.
- Submit sample materials and calibration certificates to relevant consultants for approval.
- Responsible for quality and material waste control. Ensure that all workers and subcontractors adhere to good house-keeping and implement quality best practices and 5 “S” system at site. Look over QMS & SMS & EMS implementation (Integrated Safety & Quality Management Systems).
- Chair domestic, site safety, health and environmental committee, sub-contractor meetings etc.
- Liaison with authorities, clients, all consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Develop and train next level of management staff for overall skill of management.
- Organize, supervise and give evaluation to all down line supervisory staff; provide guidance and identify training and improvement plan.
- To check through and monitor the PQP and method statement and any other alternative proposal preparation and submission with QA/QC and other teams.
- Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
- To add value to an organization by challenging the effectiveness of established procedures. Identify outdated practices and continual improvement processes for the organization.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities which the immediate superior or the company may assign from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in n civil engineering or equivalent
- At least 7 years related working experience in building construction (main contractor background: High Rise Building, Mixed Dev. Construction)
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Familiar with building construction details and relevant rules, ISO regulations and quality standards, time and cost management.
- Project management in building construction.
- Outstanding planning and organization skills
