Job Title: Senior Project Engineer – M&E

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Engineer – M&E to join our project team for large-scale industrial building developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering aspects of the project, from planning and coordination to execution and handover, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

Oversee M&E works on-site in coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration with civil and structural works.

Technical Review & Execution:

Review M&E drawings, specifications, and schedules. Ensure correct installation of mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical distribution, and ELV systems.

Planning & Scheduling:

Develop and monitor detailed project timelines for M&E work to align with overall construction milestones.

Quality & Compliance:

Enforce quality control standards, perform inspections, and ensure M&E works comply with local codes, safety standards, and client requirements.

Contractor Management:

Supervise and evaluate M&E subcontractors’ performance. Resolve technical issues and coordinate changes where necessary.

Cost & Material Control:

Work with the commercial team on M&E cost control, variation orders, and materials procurement

Testing & Commissioning:

Lead and supervise the testing and commissioning of M&E systems to ensure successful handover to the client.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably with a main contractor on industrial building projects (e.g., factories, data centres, semiconductor plants).
• Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems and local regulations.
• Excellent project management, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Familiar with construction drawings, BIM coordination, and site installation processes.
• Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
