Job summary

KIJ Filtration Sdn. Bhd. in Penang is seeking a Senior/Project Engineer (Mechanical / Chemical) to plan, coordinate and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion.

You will oversee project execution, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met, and coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal departments on project requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in engineering or project management.
• Experience in industrial projects, mechanical systems, filtration systems or environmental engineering is an asset.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal departments on project requirements.
• Prepare engineering drawings, technical documents, reports and project schedules.
• Review engineering designs, specifications and technical submissions.
• Monitor site activities, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Identify project risks and resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and relevant engineering standards.
