Job summary

Blue Water Shipping is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to join the Technical Engineering Department. The role blends hands-on engineering with technical guidance to deliver safe, practical, and commercially sound solutions for global projects.

You will develop transport solutions, review method statements and calculations, and mentor engineers while collaborating across countries and time zones. Local travel may be required as part of project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop technically sound, customer-focused solutions for heavy-lift, heavy-transport and project logistics.
• Prepare and review method statements, transport plans, lifting plans, stowage plans, seafastening arrangements and procedures.
• Perform or review engineering calculations including cargo-securing, deck-strength, mooring and rigging analyses.
• Prepare technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Plan transport solutions involving SPMTs, trailers, cranes, barges and vessels.
• Guide engineers and operational colleagues within the global organisation.
