Responsibilities
- Control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
- Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress, and preparation of customer billing processes.
- Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring.
- Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the existing system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing, and delivery up to the closure of the project.
- Prepare fortnightly vessel movement report for monitoring of the vessel and register all downtime, consumptions, and vessel-related issues relating to the project promptly to the project manager and management.
- Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
- Attend project meetings and discussions with the project teams and external clients (if required).
- Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
- Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal project team as and when required.
- Set up and manage support functions covering planning, tracking, reporting, quality management, and internal communication.
- Produce consolidated reporting to the Project/credit control and finance team, including milestone summary, key issues, risks, benefits, and summary of costs incurred.
- Establish standards, tools, and procedures for use on the project, including Issue, Risk, Change, and Information Management.
- Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
- Manage the support and provision of project tools and equipment.
- Manage data security, software, and license control.
- Perform any other function and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Preferred a university graduate in any Mechanical & Electrical Engineering field or any other related field.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of working experience in a similar industry or in the construction industry.
- Understanding of business strategy and products is essential.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Knowledge of elevator operation and service management is essential.
