About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Production Material Control (PMC) Manager to join our parent company’s operations in Shanghai, China. This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production planning and material control functions to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, optimal inventory levels, and on-time delivery performance.

The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain professional with a strong background in material planning, production scheduling, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the PMC department, including production planning, inventory control, and material coordination.

Develop, implement, and optimize production material control strategies to support operational goals.

Ensure alignment of production schedules with material availability, capacity planning, and customer delivery requirements.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolescence while maintaining production continuity.

Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, inventory turnover, and cost control.

Collaborate with R&D, procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to resolve material-related issues and streamline supply chain processes.

Analyze supply and demand data, forecast material needs, and generate timely reports for management.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of PMC planners and coordinators.

Support ERP system improvements and integration related to PMC processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in production planning and material control, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Strong background in manufacturing operations, preferably in automation equipment and semiconductor industrial with high mix- low volume production.

Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.

Demonstrated leadership ability with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex supply chain data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments and regions.

Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required for internal coordination with stakeholders in China and internationally.

Willing to be based in Shanghai, China (relocation assistance provided, if applicable).
