Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking a Sr. Manager, Operations (Senior Production Manager) to lead manufacturing activities in Malaysia. The role focuses on achieving production goals, improving efficiencies and ensuring quality across lines in a fast-growing semiconductor environment.

The successful candidate will drive Lean practices, collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, and oversee start-ups for new products while maintaining ISO compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of production and operations management experience.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and 6S would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set, maintain and meet Operations Goal & KPI.
• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and supervise team to ensure that production quantity and quality targets are met.
• Monitor capacity vs Demand, plan manpower and equipment resources.
• Ensure production practices comply to 6S practice, company process, ISO and internal standard requirement.
• Oversee troubleshooting of product, quality and equipment, anticipate potential operational issues and derive appropriate corrective actions.
• Liaise closely with Manufacturing Engineer, Quality, Warehouse, Materials and other supporting department to make sure no down time on the line.
• Be part of the production start-up team to implement production line and work-station set-up for assembly and sub assembly work – Support new product launches.
• Partnering with departmental managers to create and maintain production planning schedule.
• Implement Lean manufacturing practices.
• Participate and prepare for customer audit.
• To give timely and accurate feedback to Manager on daily and weekly update.
• Ensures consistent on-time delivery and zero quality issue to customers.
• Chair daily/ weekly/ monthly meetings with team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Good understanding and application of Manufacturing Planning and Process Management
• Good leadership and people organizational skill
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Able to communicate well with all levels of employees

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Relevant Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related Engineering field
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in production an operational management experience may be considered
