We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Engineer to lead and optimize our manufacturing engineering activities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring efficient, high‑quality production operations in a precision cutting tools environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily manufacturing engineering operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and plant layouts for enhanced efficiency.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by coordinating process readiness and ensuring seamless transition to production.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement methodologies across the production floor.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, providing technical support and training.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout all engineering activities.
- Prepare and present reports on process improvements, production metrics, and project outcomes to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in precision tooling or machining.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools.
- Proven experience in NPI and process development.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficient in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CNC machining and precision cutting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Certification in Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
