Job description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The Senior Product Specialist will be responsible for executing product management initiatives and assisting product managers in new product development, portfolio management and cross functional collaboration.

You will be based in Kajang, Selangor . You will report to the Product Manager, ASEAN.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

Product Development & Execution

• Conduct market research to assess customer needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning. Gather and analyze competitive data, maintaining a real-time dashboard for competitive intelligence
• Support the product launch process, ensuring effective execution across all business units.
• Monitor product performance and suggest improvements based on customer feedback and analytics.

Data & Portfolio Management

• Maintain and update product attributes, datasheets, and other key product documentation.
• Conduct regular data hygiene checks on product listings to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in developing / maintaining customer tools by liaising with all the product managers.
• Create / Maintain an internal product database to keep the commercial team informed and up to date about the product portfolio.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with the Marketing Communications team to develop marketing collateral, selling tools, and product launch packages in alignment with regional guidelines.
• Lead monthly updates for sustainability and new product initiatives.
• Build and manage a database for regional product sourcing, tracking new and existing products across different markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above degree
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the packaging industry
• Strong data analysis abilities (Excel or Google Sheet proficiency)
• Business acumen (familiarity with eco-systems is a plus)
• Excellent cross-functional cooperation skills, particularly in new product development and launch initiatives
