Main Duties & Responsibilities
Our Procurement team plays a key role in managing procurement operations, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and compliant sourcing strategies. We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong background in procurement and a passion for driving efficiency and innovation.
- Oversee and coordinate all project-related procurement activities in the ASEAN region, ensuring seamless integration of procurement, logistics, and supplier quality management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between regional project teams and the global procurement organization for all project-related procurement matters.
- Align project timelines with procurement schedules and develop comprehensive project procurement plans.
- Prepare and issue RFQs based on customer and project requirements, ensuring competitive sourcing.
- Lead regional supplier negotiations, aligning contract terms and conditions to meet project and business objectives in coordination with global commodity managers at headquarters to implement global commodity strategies, achieve long-term cost savings, and drive business success.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and mitigate procurement risks through cross-functional assessments and proactive risk management.
- Develop and implement local sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens’ procurement policies, standards, and best practices.
- Promote and support sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, driving responsible and ethical sourcing practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Multiple years of experience in strategic purchasing, category management, or project management.
- Experience working in a project-driven environment, preferably in the baggage handling or engineering industry.
- International exposure and the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex projects efficiently.
- Proficiency in system and data management (Excel, SAP, data analysis).
- Interest in digitalization and automation to enhance procurement processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages such as German, Thai, or Malay are a plus.
