Job summary

HFG Insurance Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Operations Senior Manager to lead regional Procure-to-Pay operations within a shared services framework. You will drive end-to-end P2P delivery, manage a high-performing team, and partner with stakeholders to meet service levels and governance standards.

You will oversee policy compliance, process improvement, and audit readiness, while shaping a culture of excellence in a fast-paced SSC environment across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in Procurement Operations or P2P within shared services or GBS.
• 3–5 years of experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end P2P processes and procurement operations.
• Experience with Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Ariba or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of procurement policies, approval workflows, vendor master data, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of Procurement Operations, ensuring SLA, quality, and compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end Procure-to-Pay activities (PRs, POs, onboarding, catalogue, contracts, e-sourcing, e-auction).
• Manage procurement service desk activities and guidance to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Monitor KPIs, backlogs, ageing transactions to ensure service excellence.
• Escalate operational issues and drive issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Lead and coach a Procurement Operations team, driving performance and development.
• Ensure procurement policies, workflows, controls and governance are applied.
• Support audit readiness with accurate documentation and SOPs.
• Identify process improvements, standardisation, and automation opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across locations for seamless operations.

Lead Procurement Operations Excellence in a Regional Shared Services Environment

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Operations Senior Manager to join a growing Procurement Operations team. In this leadership role, you will oversee end-to-end procurement operations, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with agreed service levels, governance standards, and business expectations.

Reporting to the Procurement Operations Lead, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function while leading a high-performing team, partnering with regional stakeholders, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Procurement Operations Senior Manager, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of Procurement Operations, ensuring services meet SLA, quality, and compliance standards.
• Oversee end-to-end Procure-to-Pay activities, including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Vendor Onboarding, Catalogue Management, Contract Administration, e-Sourcing, and e-Auction support.
• Manage procurement service desk activities, providing operational support and guidance to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Monitor operational performance, backlogs, ageing transactions, and key performance indicators to ensure service excellence.
• Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues, working closely with stakeholders to resolve complex cases and improve service delivery.
• Lead and coach a Procurement Operations team, driving performance, capability development, and a strong customer service culture.
• Ensure procurement policies, approval workflows, controls, and governance requirements are consistently applied.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and process controls.
• Identify process improvement, standardisation, and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Category Management, and business stakeholders across multiple locations to support seamless procurement operations.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong operational leadership with hands-on procurement expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in Procurement Operations or Procure-to-Pay within a Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS), or high-volume operations environment.
• At least 3–5 years of experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes and procurement operations.
• Experience working with procurement platforms such as Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or equivalent systems.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, approval workflows, vendor master data, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing operational KPIs, service levels, productivity, backlog management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting transitions, knowledge transfer, process standardisation, or offshore/onshore operating models will be an added advantage.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous but not mandatory.
