Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. invites a Senior Process Water Engineer to lead advanced water treatment systems, including RODI, WWTP, water reclaim, and scrubber projects at its Batu Kawan site. You will set project scope, supervise construction, and ensure safety and quality across all phases.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Environmental/Chemical Engineering or Physics with 5+ years in semiconductor environments, and strong communication and AutoCAD familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with minimum 5 years in semiconductor field.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in project coordination and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficient with PPT and Excel; able to present data.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate projects ensuring timely, safe, quality execution on site.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety; raise risks with mitigations.
  • Conduct site inspections, reviews, walkdowns, testing, and meetings.
  • Provide input during concept, detailed design, tender, construction, testing, commissioning, handover.
  • Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, modifications, expansions, and commissioning.
  • Ensure project documentation is completed before close-out.
  • Track non-conformances, punch lists, defects, and corrective actions.
  • Review high-risk activities and mitigation plans before execution.
  • Lead troubleshooting and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Develop strategies to improve water conservation, recycling, and environmental objectives.

Job description

As a Senior Process Water Engineer, you will lead and develop advanced water treatment systems at Micron. You will drive the smooth implementation of projects related to RODI, WWTP, water reclaim, and scrubber systems. You will establish project scope and supervise construction to ensure exceptional quality and safety standards are preserved.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate projects to ensure timely, safe, and quality execution at site
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety performance, advancing risks with proposed mitigation actions
  • Conduct regular site inspections, progress reviews, system walkdowns, line checks, testing, and coordination meetings
  • Provide technical input during concept design, detailed design, tender, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases
  • Coordinate system shutdowns, tie-ins, modifications, expansions, and commissioning activities while minimizing operational impact
  • Ensure project documentation, including as-built drawings, testing records, operation manuals, training records, and handover documents, is completed before project close-out
  • Track non-conformances, punch lists, defects and corrective actions through closure
  • Review high-risk construction activities, work methods, job hazard analyses and mitigation plans before execution
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve water conservation, recycling, reclaim efficiency, wastewater treatment performance, and environmental sustainability objectives
About you
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Environmental / Chemical Engineering, Physics with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the semiconductor field
  • Certified Professional under DOE regulations - CePIETSO, CePSO will be added advantages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and balance dynamic priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong teammate
  • Ability to participate in a multi-functional team environment
  • Proficient in PPT, Excel & presentation skills
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and exposed to the manufacturing environment
  • Relevant experience in industrial, semiconductor, greenfield, brownfield, construction, or facilities projects
  • Strong project management, contractor management, collaborator coordination, cost, schedule, quality and risk control capability
