Responsibilities

1. Identifies and performs process optimization programs to significantly improve the safety, productivity, and quality of manufacturing facilities and systems.
2. Plays a key role in identifying opportunities for process improvements through data collection and analysis.
3. Actively contributes to plant improvements by establishing sound working relationships with plant operations management and staff.
4. Work on Continuous Improvement Projects as identified or needed. Areas of emphasis include:
5. manufacturing cost reduction, capacity improvements/cycle time reductions, energy and waste reduction, and process reliability.
6. Perform technical documentation (Flow chart, PFMEA, and work instructions).
7. Improve production KPI’s (OEE, Rework, Scrap).
8. Improve productivity and Quality Costs.
9. Lead Kaizen activities in the manufacturing, tool room, and office areas.
10. Lead improvement projects.
11. Serve as a technical resource for the plant locations and other departments. Assist facilities with troubleshooting particular problems in the manufacturing environments.
12. Drive process improvement on automated systems using existing and new analysis tools.
13. Maintain equipment and instrument specifications as needed.
14. Coordinate within local operations, EH&S, and Corporate Engineering to improve production processes through the use of CAPEX projects, 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
15. Initiate Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) driven by process optimization efforts, capacity expansion, or any other business requirements.
16. Define project scope in sufficient detail to allow implementation of projects that attain all functionality requirements, are completed within budget, and meet the defined schedule.
17. Manage or self-perform the design, procurement, construction management, and the turnover to operations of assigned projects.
18. Identify and use good engineering practice in the execution of all projects.
19. Proactively evaluate projects for operator safety in operation and develop initial SOPs and provide training to necessary plant personnel.
20. Start-up, or support the start-up of new systems and direct the implementation of procedural changes.
21. Evaluate the performance of all projects/programs implemented and report results to management.
22. Ensuring that all committee members are notified of meetings.
23. Distributing the agenda for the meetings.
24. Record the minutes of each EHS committee meeting.
25. Keeping records of all minutes, recommendations, and change implementations.
26. Ensure that the implementation of the ISO14001 & ISO45001 requirements are effectively carried out.
27. To promote and develop a high level of Health, Safety & Environmental awareness and commitment.
28. Ensure the EHS requirements of the workplace are met.
29. Adhere to safety and health rules and safe systems of work.
30. Wearing Personal Protection Equipment.

Job Requirement and Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineer roles.
3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Lean manufacturing.
4. Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
5. Must have experience in stamping area.
6. Have experience in medical devices as minimum.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook / Excel / Word).
8. Active and goal-oriented.
9. Advanced English.
10. Project Management Experience.
11. Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
13. Good interpersonal skills.
14. Detail-oriented with good math and analytical skills.
15. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
