Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Sustaining Staff Product Engineer to ensure ongoing product continuity post-mass production. You will manage product lifecycles, resolve production and customer issues, and drive COGS improvements for power IC products.

The role requires collaboration with design, test, manufacturing and quality teams to support mature products in high-volume production, improving yield and lifecycle extension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering.
• Bachelor-level engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic, Physics, Computer, or related field.
• Onsite work requirement.
• Data manipulation and analysis skills; familiarity with JMP; PDF Exenso is a plus.
• Strong product management sense including cost, ROI and efficiency.
• Familiarity with semiconductor IC processes.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Sustain multiple product lifecycles through mass production compliance and process optimization.
• Improve COGS via yield, volume, test time and failure reduction.
• Manage changes and migrations in PCRB and second-source qualifications.
• Dispostion of abnormal or low-yielding lots and production issues.
• Interface with Operations, QA, Reliability, Factory and OSAT.
• Monitor and resolve manufacturing/testing issues with fab/assembly/test sites.
• Analyze product performance and failure modes to support customer returns (RMA/FA).
