Job summary

Cummins Asia Pacific is seeking a Power Generation Application Engineer at our Puchong, Malaysia site with an Onsite with Flexibility work model. The role focuses on delivering high-performance power solutions by translating customer needs into robust technical specifications and integrating Cummins’ products with OEM platforms.

The successful candidate will liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize installation quality and product performance, leveraging COLS and GCE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Senior/lead engineer experience preferred.
• Licensing for export controls may be required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as senior technical liaison between OEMs and Cummins in new product development.
• Represents customers to ensure high-performance, cost-effective equipment and system solutions.
• Interacts with sales/marketing to ensure aligned technical direction and customer requirements.
• Drives installation quality and validates prototype performance against Cummins standards.
• Translates customer needs into functional product requirements for program decisions.
• Leads technical discussions with customers and consultants, and facilitates site visits and factory tests.
