Job summary

SICPA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Platform Foundations team in Cyberjaya. You will evolve the internal digital platform, own its technical roadmap, and deliver robust backend services in Java/Kotlin.

You will coach engineers, tackle cross-domain challenges, and promote best practices in testing, documentation, and CI/CD. The role requires 10+ years of experience, a strong Java/Kotlin background, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering with strong Java/Kotlin expertise.
• Well-written, well-tested, maintainable code and experience leading teams.
• Familiar with Linux environments, shell scripting, and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the internal digital platform and ensure reliability and user experience.
• Act as the platform technical product owner and drive the technical roadmap.
• Design, build and maintain backend services and libraries in Java/Kotlin.
• Coach junior engineers and support cross-functional teams in tasks.
• Solve technical challenges across infrastructure, CI/CD, frontend, and subsystems.
• Explore new technologies and promote best engineering practices.
