ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Kulim, Malaysia, seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to own plasma tool fidelity, lead transfer and ramp projects, and ensure EMS compliance across the production area.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent semiconductor fab experience), strong problem-solving skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate with teams and suppliers. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor level engineering degree or higher with semiconductor wafer fab experience (plasma equipment).
• Hands-on track record with front-end wafer fabrication equipment, preferably plasma etching tools.
• Strong problem solving and quality improvement skills (FMEA, DMAIC, 8D, FDC, SPC).
• Experience leading technicians and cross-functional teams is preferred.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.

Responsabilités

• Own maintenance and performance of plasma tools; define EMS and safety procedures.
• Lead equipment start-up, transfer, qualification and ramp projects.
• Develop maintenance plans, spares, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide training to engineers, technicians and manufacturing specialists.
