Qualifications
Education Background Requirements:
- Required/ 必需的:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related chemical discipline.
- Preferred/ 优先考虑的:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process or production engineering.
- Experience in paint and coatings manufacturing processes is an added advantage.
- Experience in Process Safety Management (PSM) is an added advantage.
Technical/Skill Requirements:
- Strong communication and coordination skills with a proactive mindset and the ability to influence teams effectively.
- Excellent observational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Responsibilities Include
- Production Documentation and Issue Resolution (Weight: 25%): Oversee batch ticket reviews, system and formula feedback (SFFB), and maintenance of alternate plant formulas. Investigate and resolve daily production issues related to batch performance, yield discrepancies, and defective products.
- Daily Operations Support (Weight: 15%): Manage routine operational tasks and serve as the primary point of contact for daily interactions with operators, supervisors, laboratory personnel, and management. Lead continuous improvements in operations, quality, processes, equipment, and related areas.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives (Weight: 15%): Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing safety, quality, service levels, cost efficiency, and production yields.
- Process Optimization and Efficiency Tracking (Weight: 15%): Modify and optimize production processes. Monitor and analyze production efficiency metrics, including cycle times, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and asset utilization. Support capacity planning efforts.
- New Formula Introduction and Scale-Up (Weight: 10%): Manage the introduction of new formulas for general product transfers and similar technologies. Conduct scale-up reviews, trial batch data collection, and drive improvements in process and product quality.
- Operational Compliance and Documentation (Weight: 5%): Ensure compliance with documentation standards, Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements, operating procedures, KPIs, process training, safe operating limits, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations.
- Project Support (Weight: 5%): Provide process and engineering support for production-related projects, including procedure development, training, scheduling, PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review), and startup assistance.
- Safety Leadership (Weight: 5%): Take a leadership role in plant safety programs, including participation in safety teams, SMART initiatives, and incident investigations.
- Operator Training (Weight: 3%): Lead or support operator training programs to enhance production efficiency and operational knowledge.
- Process Safety Reviews (Weight: 2%): Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
