An international EPC based in KL is seeking aSenior Planning Engineer to oversee the planning and scheduling ofFPSO projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and contractual requirements. This role requires expertise in project control methodologies, scheduling software, and FPSO project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailedproject schedules for FPSO projects, ensuring timely execution of engineering, procurement, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and delivery.
- Collaborate withproject managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to define scope, activities, and sequencing for an optimized project timeline.
- UtilizePrimavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling tools to create and maintain project schedules.
- Monitorproject progress, identify deviations, and provide solutions to mitigate delays and risks.
- Prepareprogress reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support projectrisk assessment and mitigation planning by analyzing potential schedule impacts.
- Conductcritical path analysis (CPA), earned value management (EVM), and schedule performance tracking.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to integrate their schedules into the overall project plan.
- Ensure adherence to project contract requirements and deliverables in terms of scheduling and planning.
- Participate inproject meetings, client discussions, and technical reviews to provide planning insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with cost controllers to align schedules with project budgets and expenditures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum12 years of experience in project planning & scheduling within the oil & gas, offshore, and FPSO sectors.
- Proficiency inPrimavera P6, MS Project, and other planning software.
- Strong understanding ofFPSO lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and operations.
- Experience inEPC contracts.
- Familiarity withrisk analysis, resource leveling, and cost control methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience inschedule risk analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
