Job summary

Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions in Penang, Malaysia seeks a seasoned PCB layout engineer for automotive infotainment and electronics modules. You will translate engineering inputs into detailed layouts for high-complexity boards and collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

Responsibilities include creating Gerber files, coordinating prototypes, and mentoring on engineering standards (CDQ, TS16949, ISO26262).

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of relevant PCB layout engineering experience.
• Experience with high-speed PCB design, stack-up and related manufacturing constraints.
• Proficiency with PCB layout tools such as Zuken and Cadence.
• Knowledge of product engineering tools (FMEA, DFMA, QFD, 8D, 6-Sigma).
• Ability to write scripts (Perl) for automation.
• Strong technical reporting and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact as change engineer for PCB layout updates involving major design changes.
• Translate inputs from electronics and mechanical design teams into PCB layout for a ~3000-component board.
• Conduct feasibility studies for packaging, manufacturing and system performance on high-complexity designs.
• Carry out high-speed PCB layout with analog and digital circuitry.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve packaging and electrical issues on complex designs.
• Liaise with HQ for component libraries and footprints.
• Create and maintain PCB layout documentation and Gerber files.
