Job summary

ACCORD INNOVATIONS SDN. BHD. is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to manage and optimize Oracle databases across development, QA and production environments in Malaysia.

You will lead performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and high availability, while coordinating with application and infrastructure teams to ensure stable, scalable database services. The role requires strong Oracle DBMS experience, including RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate, plus a solid capacity planning mindset and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field with minimum 5 years of IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Database Administration experience, Oracle focus.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard and GoldenGate is preferred.
• Ability to work across Development, QA and Production environments.
• Certification in DBMS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration across Dev/QA/Prod environments.
• Monitor and tune database performance, optimize SQL and system parameters.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Ensure high availability, clustering and replication capabilities.
• Plan capacity and storage, monitor usage and forecast needs.
• Maintain security, governance and compliance of databases.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams and vendors.
