About the role

You will be responsible for handling and coordinating storage of equipment/inventory in workshops in Malaysia and liaising with project owners for site supervision and delivery of all Carrier equipment. Maintain, service, test, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and clean Carrier-owned HVAC equipment and related products across workshops and various sites throughout Malaysia. This includes air-cooled and water-cooled systems from 10 RT to 600 RT, and various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, and spot coolers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, service, test, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and clean Carrier-owned HVAC equipment and related products in workshops and various sites throughout Malaysia and across Asia when required.
• Attend to site breakdowns for repair and troubleshooting across Malaysia.
• Ensure all PPE is worn appropriately, as work is performed in varied environmental conditions with exposure to outdoor temperature variations, noise, vibrations, gases or fumes, grease, cleaning solvents, degreasing agents, machinery and moving parts, odors, and dust particles.
• Maintain accurate records for delivery orders and service reports.
• Maintain proper inventory counts for all equipment and accessories.
• Use power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment.
• Supervise installation and commissioning works for HVAC equipment at sites.
• Ensure smooth and on-time delivery of equipment to sites.
• Manage transportation delivery to and from sites, including cross-hiring of equipment.
• Identify required spare parts, and handle ordering and receiving of spares.
• Ensure accuracy of fleet inventory within Malaysia.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers.
• Perform additional duties, including general maintenance, cleaning, lifting, organizing, and inventory counts.
• Work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

• A degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in Commercial HVAC.
• HVAC technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and cleaning HVAC equipment and related products.
• Refrigerant Handling license is an advantage; if not possessed, the ability to obtain a TP Certificate within 60 days of hire, provided by the company.
• Experience in warehouse supervision/management is an advantage.
• SIC certification for Construction, Shipyard, or Process Plant is an advantage.
• Training or experience in EHS & Risk Assessment is an advantage.
• Possess a valid Class 3 driver’s license.
