Senior Officer/Officer - Finance & Controlling

Location: Tebrau, Johor | Job ID: TEK42

Specialization: FINANCE GENERAL OR COST ACCOUNTING

Job description:

  1. Preparation of timely and accurate weekly, monthly & consolidated inventory & scrap-related reporting.
  2. Coordinate and perform monthly cycle counts with store & production, including reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.
  3. Responsible for timely and accurate weekly & monthly reporting on Indirect Material & Maintenance, including analysis.
  4. Process month-end inventory journals and perform inventory reconciliation, including scrap management.
  5. Assist in updating standard prices for new purchased items in SAP.
  6. Vouch supplier invoices with related documents (PO/DO, etc.), verify, and enter data into the system on time.
  7. Assist with the fixed assets module, from application to month-end processes, including reporting and schedules.
  8. Handle month-end closing processes, verify journal entries, recurring transactions, and analyze general ledgers.
  9. Assist in preparing monthly audit schedules and statistics.
  10. Maintain suppliers' master data.
  11. Manage daily cash flow, including fund allocation, FX conversion, currency hedging with bankers, deposits, and payment schedules.
  12. Verify invoices with/without PO, including accruals and supplier invoice reconciliations.
  13. Prepare monthly reports such as AP & AR aging, intercompany movements, and other financial reports.
  14. Support corporate finance, company secretarial, and insurance matters as needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
  16. Liaise with bankers on banking matters.
  17. Coordinate with internal & external auditors and staff at all levels.
  18. Assist immediate superiors in accounting activities as required.

Job Requirements:

  1. Possess at least a LCCI Higher, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  2. Preferably with 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Responsible, self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Capable of meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  5. Experience with SAP system is preferred.
  6. Mandarin speaking ability is an advantage, as the role involves liaising with China colleagues.
  7. Willing to work in Tebrau, Johor Bahru.
