About The Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Since 2021, starting with technology application design, development, and support, InnoHub2 is expanding to deliver other business services supporting the Bank’s growth. Job Responsibilities
  • Process and authorize credit & debit card transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Perform voice authorization and assist merchants and customers at POS transactions.
  • Meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) standards for call handling.
  • Manage email duties, assisting Call Centre & RMs with card blocking/unblocking, limit adjustments, and security bypasses.
  • Support Cards & Payments (CPP) and Cards Operations (COPC) to process authorization codes for unsecured products.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with merchants, providing support and guidance on transaction processes.
  • Assist merchants with inquiries and resolve card authorization issues.
  • Handle transaction code cancellation requests from merchants, customers, and Contact Centre.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding transactions and account status.
  • Monitor transactions for potential fraud and irregularities.
  • Review real-time transaction alerts to identify high-risk transactions.
  • Use Visa/Mastercard fraud detection tools to analyze transactions for fraudulent activities.
  • Observe transactions for suspicious activities such as account takeovers, fraud, lost/stolen cards, and attack attempts. Block/unblock cards and cancel transactions when necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Open to entry-level candidates; training provided.
  • Proficient in MS Office with good written and communication skills.
  • Pleasant disposition with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Previous experience in banking fraud surveillance or law enforcement is highly regarded.
  • Keen interest in scam prevention.
  • Ability to perform 24-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
