A leading technology company in Malaysia seeks a Network Engineer for a 1-year renewable contract role. In your new role you will:

• Proactively check network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Provide technical support as needed to maintain network operation objectives.
• Assist departments across the organization in understanding and implementing network solutions in a cost-effective manner that aligns with business objectives.
• Work closely with other network engineers and cross-functional teams, review, execute technical designs, and provide technical direction.
• Evaluate, define, and develop new and existing reference standards and their adoption to onboard services efficiently and with quality.
• Participate in an on-call (24x7) support rotation with other members of the NOC.
• Develop written procedures, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field.
• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level networks.
• Experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
• Knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; experience with Wireshark is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Note: This is a 1-year renewable contract under a third-party payroll partner, with benefits according to the partner company.
