The role of Senior Network Engineer is to support the IT operational activities of Project Infrastructure, supporting the Operation Manager to achieve the agreed SLAs as defined by the respective Master Service Agreement(s).
- Support all Cisco Network devices and Checkpoint & Fortigate Firewalls, F5/Foundary/Radware load balancers, DNS, SDN, IPAM, Wireless, Tacacs, and VPN
- Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
- Able to rotate on 24x7 and be on standby on a 12-hour shift basis
- Perform regular monitoring and maintenance of the network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Comply with ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations, e.g., Change, Incident, Service Request & problem management.
- Respond promptly to network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolutions for escalated issues
- Collaborate with network administrators and engineers to design and implement network upgrades, expansions, and changes, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
- Stay updated with emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement enhancements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT teams regarding network issues, troubleshooting, and preventive measures.
- Monitor and measure system performance and availability proactively; implement corrective actions as needed
- Support service continuity measures such as backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans.
Skills for Success:
- A Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing IT service delivery
- Experience with Router, Switches, LAN/WAN, Firewall, Load Balancer, Cisco is a strong advantage
- Hands-on experience with BGP/OSPF is required
- Experience with Single or Multi VRF is an added advantage
- Strong technical competency with recognized professional certifications in Network & Security or Systems
- Ability to work on 12-hour shifts
